1st December 2025 is a very special date for us: we are celebrating 20 years of Behner Oberflächentechnik – two decades of passion for perfect metal surfaces.
Our story began in 2005 – in a small garage in Eppisburg, where Stefan Behner refined the first vehicle parts. What started as a bold step soon developed into a vision that grew steadily.
In 2006, we were able to purchase our first property in Buttenwiesen – an important milestone that opened up new opportunities for us and formed the basis for our further development.
This was followed in 2011 by the construction of our approximately 200 m² hall, also in Buttenwiesen. Here, we further professionalised our processes and expanded our team with people who provided us with crucial support during this phase.
In 2012, we invested in our first robot system, still at the Buttenwiesen site. This was a clear step towards automation, precision and modern manufacturing technology.
With growing demand, we continued to expand: in 2017, we acquired a plot of land in Merching, in 2018 we began construction of our new company building there, and in 2019 we were finally able to move into the modern and significantly larger production facilities. This involved a significant expansion of the company with the construction of our new building covering around 3,000 square metres in Merching near Augsburg – a milestone that has permanently expanded our capacities and possibilities.
Today, we can look back on 20 years in which a small workshop has become a reliable partner for high-quality metal surfaces – shaped by technical progress, commitment and the many people who have accompanied us on this journey.
With the same passion as back then, we want to continue to refine every project with precision, quality and genuine enthusiasm.
