At the beginning of May 2018, the company Behner Oberflächentechnik celebrated the groundbreaking ceremony for the new company building in Merching (district of Aichach-Friedberg). The specialist for the high-quality finishing of all metals has earned a very good reputation in the past 12 years as a metal grinder and polisher both in the industry and in the automotive sector.
Behner Oberflächentechnik’s customers include vehicle manufacturers, machine and facade construction companies, premium manufacturers of fittings, furniture and furnishings, as well as car workshops, car dealerships and vintage car owners. The range of services covers the professional processing and finishing of all metal surfaces, from manual single piece machining to robot-supported large-scale production. In detail, this includes grinding, polishing, stripping and sandblasting with subsequent galvanic processing such as Chrome, silver or gold.
In addition, the company Behner Oberflächentechnik also offers the complete restoration of chrome parts for the classic car market, as well as the rim repair and refinement of all brands and manufacturers. As the company’s growth at its current location in Buttenwiesen (district of Dillingen / Do.) was limited, company founder and owner Stefan Behner ultimately decided on a completely new building on a 3000 square meter area in the municipality of Merching. Due to the above-average increase in inquiries, the new building now provides enough space and opportunities for more employees and the expansion of modern machine and robot equipment, Stefan Behner is pleased to announce. The new building will be built in the next few months. The inauguration is scheduled for the end of 2018. With the new Merching site, the company also benefits from a central position and connections to the economic regions of Augsburg, Munich and northern Swabia.
Together with the 1st Mayor Martin Walch, the managing director of the municipality of Merching Rainer Fieber as well as employees and family members, Stefan Behner was able to give the starting signal for the new building as part of the groundbreaking ceremony. The settlement of Mr. Behner’s modern enterprise was a great enrichment for the business park of the municipality of Merching, emphasized 1st Mayor Martin Walch and wished the company and its founder good luck in the future. For his part, Stefan Behner expressly thanked the municipality of Merching for the extremely fast and unbureaucratic examination and approval of all applications, so that the construction work can start promptly.
Started as a one-man operation, Stefan Behner founded the company 12 years ago and initially refurbished mainly individual car and motorcycle parts, vintage chrome parts and bathroom faucets. Over the years also large vehicle parts manufacturers and industrial customers with very different products became attentive of the perfect and reliable work. In order to be able to cope with the high quantities, employees and the latest robot technology soon came to the company. To this day, this combination of individual manual work and CNC-controlled machine precision is the decisive success factor for Stefan Behner. The great passion for grinding, polishing and refining metal surfaces and the high customer orientation with its own logistics service underline the promise of quality of the growing company. With the new building in Merching, Behner Oberflächentechnik is now setting the course for a successful future and is already looking for additional specialists.
